Does Nicolas Cage Do BJJ?

There’s a rumor that Nicolas Cage trains BJJ. He’s supposed to be a black belt under Royce Gracie. However, these rumors are probably false. I searched extensively and there’s just no documentation of Nicolas Cage training BJJ at all.

I think the rumor started after Nicolas Cage starred in the movie Jiu Jitsu. Nicolas does show some jiu jitsu techniques in that movie, but it can’t be made out from that whether Nicolas is actually good at jiu jitsu or not.

Nicolas Cage BJJ Belt

Nicolas Cage is said to be a BJJ black belt under Royce Gracie, but this is probably false. There’s no photos or videos of Nicolas Cage training BJJ. If he actually trained BJJ, there would probably be information available on it, given how famous Nicolas Cage is. In all likelihood, Nicolas Cage trained a few jiu jitsu techniques for the jiu jitsu movie, but didn’t train BJJ other than that.

Nicolas Cage Jiu Jitsu Movie

Nicolas Cage stars in the movie Jiu Jitsu. It’s a movie about an alien warrior that comes to earth and needs to be defeated by a secret order of elite Jiu Jitsu fighters. You can watch the trailer below, but I don’t recommend you watch the movie, except as a comedy. It’s exactly as terrible as it sounds.
